This role is being offered as permanent full-time.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, your role as Corporate Accountant will be to produce high quality financial records including, preparation of tax returns, tax compliance, intercompany realted party loans and recoverable expenses.

You responsibilities will include but extend beyond:

  • Prepare tax returns for the Hawaiian group entities and liaise with tax advisors on various tax compliance requirements.
  • Maintenance of fixed asset and investment property register and depreciation schedules for Hawaiian Group entities.
  • Support the preparation of annual company statutory financial reports, including year-end audit and liaising with financial statement auditors.
  • Prepare month end financial reporting for management with budget variance analysis commentaries.
  • Prepare month end Balance Sheet reconciliations, supporting work papers and maintenance of financial account accuracy.
  • Supporting long-term tax planning (Div 7A, Franking Credits, Dividend and Distributions).
  • Support accurate short-term Group cash flow forecasting.
  • Responsible for Australian Bureau of Statistic reporting.

 About you

  • Professional accounting qualifications (CA or CPA qualified).
  • Accounting and tax experience in a commercial environment.
  • Proficient in Excel and Word with exposure to YARDI highly advantageous.
  • Highly developed conceptual and analytical skills with the ability to work with other departmental staff to understand business and operational issues and how these apply in a financial context.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain productive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated initiative with the ability to exercise judgment and resolve issues independently.
