About Harris Farm Markets

We are an expanding fresh food retail business with 30+ stores across NSW and QLD. For over 40 years we’ve remained 100% family owned and operated, this means we are agile, innovative and implement ideas rapidly. We are also home to almost 3,000 wonderful Harris Farmers, all with a common purpose, to reconnect Aussies with the joy of food.

The Role

Due to ongoing expansion, we are looking for a HR Business Partner to join our team in based in Sydney supporting the delivery of the people strategy. You will partner with Managers across retail operations, warehouse, wholesale and support office.

Working as part of a small team, you will work collaboratively on a broad range of activities including ER case management, learning and development, resourcing and recruitment, succession planning, talent management, organisational design, engagement, embedding our culture including inclusion and diversity, and system / process improvement.

Skills & Experience

  • This role would suit a Senior HR Advisor looking to branch into the next step of their career or a BP with 1-2 years experience in a similar role.
  • Mediation, grievance resolution and ER case management including participation in FWC conciliation hearings.
  • IR experience and an ability to understand and interpret modern awards.
  • Skilled in stakeholder management, can adapt approach to build good working relationships across our business from our frontline essential workers to our leadership and senior management team.
  • Project delivery and change management experience.
  • Thrives when able to work with a high degree of autonomy.
  • Team player, approachable and genuine.
  • Access to a car as you will be expected to travel to our stores and sites regularly.
  • Willingness to travel interstate as we are expanding and this may involve some overnight stays in deliver recruitment assessment centres, onboarding days and support new store / site openings. Most of our stores will be metro areas.
  • A good knowledge of building inclusion and diversity, or learning and development programmes would be advantageous but not essential.
  • Agile and adaptable, with an ability to work with a sense of urgency.
  • Creative problem solving.
  • Resilient.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Organised and able to balance conflicting priorities.
