Description
Private farm near the Blue Mountains is currently seeking highly experienced and capable horse educator/breaker preferably with Icelandic horses to join our stable on a full-time basis.
Role
Young Horse Educator – able to educate our young horses on the ground, including barrier education.
Duties:
- Taking daily care of the horses.
- Monitoring the health of the horses and providing veterinary care.
- Work from the ground with foals and young horses to get them accustomed to basic skills.
- Start young horses under saddle and teach them basic riding skills.
- Develop the riding horses in their basic gaits and their additional gaits tolt and flying pace.
- Teach clients about the Icelandic horse and the riding style for their additional gaits.
Essential Skills:
- Must have a driver’s license.

- Must have experience with riding and training the additional gaits of the Icelandic horse.
