The opportunity

We are looking for casual paralegals to join our rapidly growing New Energy team in our Sydney office. This role will see you working on cutting-edge New Energy projects and gaining experience in a rapidly evolving sector.

Your tasks will include conducting legal research, drafting memos and energy-related advice, supporting the team with drafting legal documents and participating in due diligence exercises. You will also have the chance to contribute to our thought leadership by drafting articles, insights and news bulletins for publication on our website and LinkedIn pages – allowing you to upskill and deepen your expertise in the dynamic world of New Energy.

Who should apply

We are looking for someone who:

  • is currently in their second year or later of a law degree (applicants with a prior undergraduate degree may apply from first year);
  • is available to work at least three days per week, two of which are consecutive;
  • has a genuine interest in the New Energy sector and is excited to work on New Energy projects;
  • is eager to learn about, and engage with, regulatory frameworks relating to energy transition and sustainability;
  • wants to join a supportive, high performing team culture;
  • values teamwork, takes initiative and is proactive with strong problem-solving, attention to detail and communication skills; and
  • is a curious, life-long learner who is open to change, to trying new things and wants to develop, not just as a professional, but as a person.
