Associate Procurement Specialist (Onsite: Houston, TX)

The Associate Procurement Specialist under direct supervision, issues purchase orders in response to material requirements established by manufacturing, field operations, technology, or project management.

• Pay Rate: $26.00/hour
• Assignment Length: 6-month contract with a high possibility of extension and/or conversion based on performance and other factors.
• Shift Details: Monday - Friday | 7:00 am – 3:30 pm

Responsibilities:

• Comply with and execute the Category Management strategy in alignment with company policies and procedures.
• Expedite, de-expedite, and issue change orders to meet the demands of manufacturing, field plants, or projects.
• Analyze and resolve basic Goods Receipt and Invoice Receipt issues (GRIR) with assistance as needed.
• Assist in creating requests for quotations (RFQ) and organize competitive bidding from various suppliers to secure the best quality, delivery, and price for goods and services.
• Support in evaluating supplier performance to ensure alignment with company standards.

Qualifications:

• Completion of an undergraduate degree in a technical, business, or similar discipline is required.
• SAP Purchase to Pay knowledge is desirable.
• Proficiency in SAP and MS Suite applications is preferred.
• Prior procurement experience is preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Willingness to learn and ask questions.
