Electrical Technician (Onsite: Houston, TX)

The Electrical Technician under direct supervision, performs introductory and elementary technical assignments such as assisting in checking drawings, parts lists and other documentation.

• Pay Rate: Up to $30.00/hour, depending on experience
• Assignment Length: 2-year contract with a high possibility of extension and/or conversion based on performance and other factors.

Job Overview:

This is an entry-level position focused on the assembly and testing of electrical and electronic equipment. The role involves technical training in wiring, assembly, and soldering, with a strong emphasis on reliability and safety standards. While the impact of individual tasks on the organization's viability is minimal, the role requires strict compliance with safety and quality requirements to ensure that any errors are readily identified and corrected.

Responsibilities:

• Undergo training to wire and assemble electrical and/or electronics equipment.
• Perform simple functional testing of equipment as required.
• Receive training to develop and maintain high-quality soldering skills.
• Participate in reliability training to maintain awareness of reliability and safety issues.
• Comply consistently with Halliburton HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) and Service Quality requirements.
• Execute job tasks accurately to maintain operational efficiency, noting that errors are typically ascertainable and correctable within short time frames.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Basic knowledge of soldering and/or electronics is preferred.
• This is an entry-level position; no prior experience is required.
