The Mechanic Technician I under general supervision, performs preventive/predictive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs a variety of mechanical equipment relative to their assigned location.
- Pay Rate: $31.00 - $33.00/hour, depending on experience
- Assignment Length: 6-month contract with the high possibility of extension or conversion based on performance and other factors.

- Shift Details: Day shift | 7:00 am - 4:00 pm
Responsibilities:
- Perform function testing to verify equipment readiness after maintenance.
- Proficiently understand and interpret mechanical schematics, drawings, and prints.
- Ensure adherence to and accurate maintenance of data within Halliburton's system of record.
- Follow specific and detailed work processes within the Halliburton Management System (HMS) during daily job activities.
- Perform own work and assist others as directed.
- Ensure all duties are performed in a safe, efficient, and effective manner.
- Contribute to cost containment, efficiency, profitability, and operations through correctly performed job tasks.
- Understand that consequences of error are easily measured and can be confined.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of one year of experience in a mechanical field.
- Technical school certificate preferred.
- Certifications: Valid driver’s license, forklift certification, and manlift certification.
- Proficient in tubing fitting.
- Capable of working independently while adhering to all safety rules and policies.
- Competent in reading and interpreting technical drawings, such as Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID).
- Completion of ISTC Safety Essentials.
- Completion of Motiva Port Arthur site-specific training courses.
- Experience using a variety of tools and machinery, including tubing cutters, tubing benders, reamers, drills, band saws, and hand tools.
