Associate Machine Operator (Onsite: Duncan, OK)

The Associate Machine Operator working under close supervision, sets up, adjusts, and operates a variety of machine tools which may include numerical control/computerized numeric control lathes, mills, drills, computerized numerical control/numerical control and/or manual machines.

• Pay Rate: Up to $27.00/hour, depending on experience.
• Assignment Length: 3-month with a high possibility of extension and/or conversion based on performance and other factors.
• Shift Details: Night Shift |10 days on, 4 days off |Overtime on Fridays

Responsibilities:

• May be required to read blueprints, perform varying levels of shop mathematics associated with machining operations, and perform inspection procedures to verify work.
• Complete full machine setups and operate CNC Lathes and/or Mills efficiently.
• Safely move large parts and equipment using an industrial hoist.
• Use precision gages to inspect parts and ensure they meet strict tolerance requirements.
• Read and interpret complex industrial blueprints to guide the machining process.
• Select and identify the correct tools for each job, ensuring proper installation and wear monitoring.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Skills typically acquired through 1-2 years related machining experience.
• Must hold a valid Hoist Certification.
• Proven background in Lathe and/or Mill machining.
• Ability to operate and navigate multiple types of machining controls.
• Expertise in reading and identifying tooling.
• Advanced ability to interpret mechanical blueprints.
• Competency in using measurement gages for tolerance checks.
• Machinery/tools used: Mazak, Niigata, G&L, Moris, Trevisans.
