The Production Planner under direct supervision, is responsible for production order management and daily execution on the shop floor.

  • Pay Rate: Up to $22.50/hour, depending on experience.
  • Assignment Length: 3-month contract with the high possibility of extension or conversion based on performance and other factors.
  • Shift Details: Monday – Friday | 8:00 am – 5:00 pm | Plus Overtime

Responsibilities:

  • Has limited autonomy to deviate from established processes, but is expected to develop their understanding of the principles necessary to exercise such judgment at the upper levels of the Manufacturing Scheduling job family.
  • Receives training to be able to plan and schedule routine orders for their assigned product lines and to resolve related problems affecting delivery for short-term (?30 days) planning horizons.
  • Performs release of production orders within acceptable guidelines, uses dispatch report to coordinate schedule execution, and performs inventory management functions to optimize material flow.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Previous experience in a production, manufacturing, or assembly environment required.
  • Minimum of two years working in manufacturing, procurement, or customer service.
  • Must have a basic understanding and knowledge of: Forecasting, FP, MRP, Excel, Theory of Constraints, Master Data, Engineering Change Management, and Inventory Turns.
  • Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) experience is preferred.
  • Proficient in using SAP software for various business processes.
  • Skilled in developing and executing effective plans.
  • Experienced in using Excel for data analysis and reporting.
  • Strong ability to convey information clearly and effectively.
  • Excellent at organizing tasks and managing time efficiently.
  • Friendly and approachable, with strong interpersonal skills.
