The Tool Technician I under strict supervision, performs maintenance functions such as repairs on down-hole tools, surface equipment and other production equipment in the application for down-hole tools.

  • Pay Rate: Up to $17.00/hour, depending on experience
  • Assignment Length: 3-month contract with a high possibility of extension and/or conversion based on performance and other factors.
  • Shift Details: Monday - Friday | 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

Responsibilities:

  • Assemble and disassemble down-hole tools, surface equipment, and other production equipment.
  • Actively participate in the quality improvement process.
  • Operate pressure washers, grinders, electric drills, and pipe wrenches.
  • Promote safety awareness and environmental consciousness, ensuring compliance with all applicable safety and environmental procedures and regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) regulations and guidelines.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Possession of a valid license to drive commercial equipment may be required.
  • Strong ability to communicate effectively with team members and other stakeholders is essential, given the collaborative nature of oil field service work.
  • Proficiency in basic mathematical calculations, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, is required.
  • Basic reading comprehension and writing skills are necessary to understand and document work processes.
  • Basic computer skills are preferred to efficiently manage and document tasks.
  • Experience with pressure washers and grinders.
  • Ability to operate electric drills.
  • Proficiency in using pipe wrenches.
