The Production Welder under direct supervision with an assigned mentor or coach, performs standard operations specifically used in the welding process.

  • Pay Rate: Up to $26.00/hour, depending on experience.
  • Assignment Length: 5-month contract with a high possibility of extension and/or conversion based on performance and other factors.

Job Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Production Welder to assist and support manufacturing operations of parts and assemblies. This role operates in a stringent, quality-oriented environment, requiring a commitment to regulatory requirements and safety standards. The successful candidate will perform various welding and fabrication tasks while ensuring all equipment is maintained and safety protocols are followed diligently.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform welding, brazing and prep, post-braze clean-up, final clean-up, labeling, cutting, and hardfacing.
  • Use specified welding equipment to assist and support manufacturing operations of parts and assemblies as required to meet regulatory requirements.
  • Operate in a stringent, quality-oriented environment.
  • Ensure that equipment is maintained timely and correctly, including the use of lifting devices, overhead cranes, and material handling equipment.
  • Maintain good written and verbal communication skills, as well as competency in the use of computers.
  • Read blueprints and drawings and apply knowledge in the use of precision measuring instruments.
  • Perform manufacturing math calculations and use specialized lifting equipment.
  • Execute own work, provide assistance to others as directed, and perform post-work inspections.
  • Follow safety procedures diligently at all times, including performing welding assembly processes in accordance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards and policies.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 6 months of experience.
  • 1–2 years of related experience and certification in welding or equivalent is preferred.
  • Must have good written and verbal communication skills, as well as be competent in the use of computers.
  • Must be able to read blue prints, and drawings as well as be knowledgeable in the use of precision measuring instruments.
