The Field Operator under strict supervision, assists during rigging-up and rigging-down of surface and downhole well slickline equipment.

  • Pay Rate: Up to $20.00/hour, depending on experience
  • Assignment Length: 4-month contract with a high possibility of extension and/or conversion based on performance and other factors.
  • Rotation Details: 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off.
  • Accommodations: While on rotation to a basin, you will be housed in a “Workforce Lodge” and provided meals or provided hotel-based housing.

Job Overview:

This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for individuals interested in beginning a career in the oil and gas industry. No prior industry experience is required, as all technical training is provided on the job. The role offers hands-on field experience, exposure to life on the North Slope, and the opportunity to determine whether a long-term career in the industry is a good fit.

Responsibilities:

  • Assists in assembly and preparation of equipment for installation and service.
  • Assists in the running of a job and in the clean up, repair, and preparation for the next job.
  • Learns to maintain, clean and perform preventative maintenance on down-hole and surface slickline equipment.
  • Learns to assemble downhole well slick line tools (running and pulling tools, tool strings, service equipment, and well head pressure contained equipment).
  • Assists in the performance of pre and post job vehicle and equipment inspections and associated paperwork and/or reports.
  • Daily work involves the use of basic hand tools and field equipment.
  • Promotes safety awareness and environmental consciousness, and complies with all applicable safety and environmental procedures and regulations.
  • Ensures compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) regulations and guidelines.
  • Promotes and takes an active part in the quality improvement process.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn hands-on operations.
  • Must have a strong work ethic and be comfortable performing physical work in an outdoor field environment.
  • Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 40 pounds.
  • Ability to work extended shifts in remote field conditions.
  • No certifications are required; all job-specific training is provided.
