Principal R&D Mechanical Engineer leads programs by establishing project development plans and approving design documents that follow Health, Safety, and Environment processes.

  • Pay Rate: $75.00/hour
  • Assignment Length: 6-month contract with the high possibility of extension or conversion based on performance and other factors.
  • Shift Details: Monday - Friday|40 hours

Responsibilities:

  • Provide engineering guidance and utilize advanced engineering techniques to meet complex design criteria.
  • Develop custom equations and solutions using various engineering tools to address specific challenges.
  • Offer recommendations based on test results and assist with conducting complex tests.
  • Review and assess appropriate standards, regulations, and specifications for testing and reliability analysis on projects and processes.
  • Deliver innovative Intellectual Property recommendations for Halliburton and review technical papers to ensure cutting-edge solutions.
  • Provide technical expertise to meet the needs and requirements of both internal and external customers.
  • Promote and contribute to a cohesive team environment, maintaining open lines of communication across all levels of the organization.
  • Represent Halliburton in professional societies within the area of specialization, enhancing the company's reputation and influence.

Qualifications:

  • Skills acquired through the completion of an undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering or a similar discipline, with a minimum of seven years of related experience.
  • A master's or doctoral degree in Mechanical Engineering or a similar discipline is preferred, demonstrating advanced knowledge and expertise.
  • Strong ability to apply advanced engineering techniques and develop innovative solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and represent the company in professional settings.
