The QA/QC Inspector under direct supervision, responsible for performing quality evaluations on standard and routine processes and products according to engineering drawings, specifications, prescribed methods, and instructions.
- Pay Rate: $26.00/hour
- Assignment Length: 6-month contract with a high possibility of extension and/or conversion based on performance and other factors.
- Shift Schedule is as follows:
- 7 days on from 6:00 am - 6:00 pm, followed by 7 days off
- 7 nights on from 6:00 pm - 6:00 am, followed by 3 days off
- 4 short nights on from 8:00 pm - 6:00 am, followed by 7 days off
Responsibilities:
- Perform thorough inspections of various operational activities to ensure compliance with established standards.
- Detect and report any deviations from known standards using a variety of measuring and testing methods.
- Execute final adjustments as necessary to meet quality standards.
- Compile detailed reports on conditions observed during inspections, and promptly notify operations and Quality Assurance/Quality Control management of any significant issues.
- Conduct magnetic particle and penetrant testing of parts, and initiate and process non-conformance reports as required.
- Ensure that all products and processes meet the desired levels of quality, safety, efficiency, and reliability.
Qualifications:
- Completion of a high school diploma or GED is required. A Bachelor's degree in Chemistry is preferred but not mandatory.
- A minimum of 1 year of relevant experience is required. Preferably, candidates will have 3-5 years of experience in Quality Assurance or a related industry.
- Proficient in multitasking and managing multiple responsibilities.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, etc.).
- Fundamental understanding of chemistry.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey information effectively.
- Receptive to constructive criticism and feedback.
- Ability to collaborate and work well with others.
