The Material Handler reports to and receives assignments, instructions, and direction from the Foreman or General Foreman.
- Pay Rate: $20.00/hour
- Assignment Length: 6-month contract with a high possibility of extension and/or conversion based on performance and other factors.
Responsibilities:
- Reads and interprets instructions and procedures.
- Loads, unloads, and moves materials within or near plant, yard, or work site.
- May move materials manually or using handtruck, electric dolly, wheelbarrow, conveyor, or hand-operated crane or hoist.
- Completes records, maintains tools and equipment, and performs various clean-up and housekeeping activities.
- Observes and follows all safety rules and procedures, including wearing required personal safety equipment.
- Performs other duties and activities as directed.
Qualifications:
- Completion of a High School diploma or equivalent is required.
- Certified and experienced in operating forklifts, ensuring safe and efficient material handling.
- Proficient in handling and transferring chemicals safely and efficiently in outdoor settings.
- Experienced in conducting accurate cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy and integrity.
- Skilled in managing and operating within outdoor warehouse environments, ensuring smooth logistics and operations.
- Expertise in overseeing inventory processes, including tracking, organizing, and maintaining stock levels.
- Competent in managing shipping and receiving processes, ensuring timely and accurate delivery and receipt of goods.
- Strong ability to communicate clearly and effectively with team members and stakeholders.
- Excellent time management skills, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and on schedule.
- Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
- Reliable and trustworthy, consistently meeting deadlines and fulfilling responsibilities.
- Committed to providing excellent customer service, ensuring client satisfaction and positive interactions.
