Material Handler (Onsite: Odessa, TX)

The Material Handler reports to and receives assignments, instructions, and direction from the Foreman or General Foreman.

• Pay Rate: $20.00/hour
• Assignment Length: 6-month contract with a high possibility of extension and/or conversion based on performance and other factors.

Responsibilities:

• Reads and interprets instructions and procedures.
• Loads, unloads, and moves materials within or near plant, yard, or work site.
• May move materials manually or using handtruck, electric dolly, wheelbarrow, conveyor, or hand-operated crane or hoist.
• Completes records, maintains tools and equipment, and performs various clean-up and housekeeping activities.
• Observes and follows all safety rules and procedures, including wearing required personal safety equipment.
• Performs other duties and activities as directed.

Qualifications:

• Completion of a High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Certified and experienced in operating forklifts, ensuring safe and efficient material handling.
• Proficient in handling and transferring chemicals safely and efficiently in outdoor settings.
• Experienced in conducting accurate cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy and integrity.
• Skilled in managing and operating within outdoor warehouse environments, ensuring smooth logistics and operations.
• Expertise in overseeing inventory processes, including tracking, organizing, and maintaining stock levels.
• Competent in managing shipping and receiving processes, ensuring timely and accurate delivery and receipt of goods.
• Strong ability to communicate clearly and effectively with team members and stakeholders.
• Excellent time management skills, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and on schedule.
• Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
• Reliable and trustworthy, consistently meeting deadlines and fulfilling responsibilities.
• Committed to providing excellent customer service, ensuring client satisfaction and positive interactions.
