The Material Handler reports to and receives assignments, instructions, and direction from the Foreman or General Foreman.

  • Pay Rate: $20.00/hour
  • Assignment Length: 6-month contract with a high possibility of extension and/or conversion based on performance and other factors.

Responsibilities:

  • Reads and interprets instructions and procedures.
  • Loads, unloads, and moves materials within or near plant, yard, or work site.
  • May move materials manually or using handtruck, electric dolly, wheelbarrow, conveyor, or hand-operated crane or hoist.
  • Completes records, maintains tools and equipment, and performs various clean-up and housekeeping activities.
  • Observes and follows all safety rules and procedures, including wearing required personal safety equipment.
  • Performs other duties and activities as directed.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of a High School diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Ability to operate forklifts is required.
  • A strong commitment to safety practices and protocols is essential.
  • Ability to demonstrates a great work ethic, with a self-driven attitude towards continuous improvement.
  • Ability to follow directions meticulously and avoid cutting corners.
  • Possesses a non-combative personality, fostering a positive and cooperative work environment.
  • Not afraid to ask for help when needed, ensuring clarity and understanding.
  • Not afraid to SWA if there is a lack of understanding or safety concerns.
  • Familiarity with machinery such as forklifts and air compressors is beneficial.
  • Ability to work 12 hours or more in the challenging environment of the Permian Basin.
  • Capable of lifting 50-pound sacks.
