The Operator Assistant I under strict supervision, learns basic oil well operations including but not limited to drilling fluids and solids control operations.
- Pay Rate: Up to $22.00/hour, depending on experience
- Assignment Length: 6-month contract with a high possibility of extension and/or conversion based on performance and other factors.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the rigging-up and rigging-down of service equipment.
- Operate equipment including shale shakers, centrifuges, and slurrification systems.
- Promote and actively participate in quality improvement processes.
- Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) regulations and guidelines.
- Foster safety awareness and environmental consciousness.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Ability to effectively communicate and follow directions.
- Basic mathematical skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
- Basic reading comprehension and writing skills.
- Basic computer skills are preferred.
