The Aircraft Maintenance Specialist, under general supervision, performs routine aircraft maintenance, inspections, servicing, cleaning, and repair support activities to ensure aircraft are maintained in a safe, airworthy, and operational condition. This role supports both preventative and corrective maintenance efforts while adhering to company procedures and aviation safety standards.

  • Pay Rate: Up to $40.00/hour, depending on experience
  • Assignment Length: 6-month contract with a high possibility of extension and/or conversion based on performance and other factors.
  • Shift Details: 20 to 30 hours per week

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine aircraft maintenance, servicing, and repair activities in accordance with established procedures and safety requirements.
  • Assist with inspections, troubleshooting, and replacement of aircraft components and systems as directed.
  • Clean, wash, detail, and maintain aircraft interiors and exteriors to ensure professional appearance and operational readiness.
  • Support preventative maintenance programs to help maximize aircraft reliability and performance.
  • Complete maintenance records, work orders, inspection documentation, and related reports accurately and timely.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean, organized, and safe condition.
  • Assist with aircraft movement, positioning, and ground support activities as required.
  • Follow all company policies, aviation regulations, and safety procedures.
  • Participate in housekeeping activities within hangar, maintenance, and aircraft support areas.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Skills are typically acquired through 2-5 years experience in trade.
  • Experience performing aircraft inspections, preventative maintenance, cleaning, and repair support activities.
  • FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License required
