The Sr. Finance Manager - Operations under broad direction, provides leadership and directs finance and accounting functions for a large or more complex defined geographic or divisional business area. 

  • Salary: $143,000.00 - $185,000.00 per year, depending on experience.

Job Overview:

The Global Process Owner for General Accounting is responsible for defining, governing, and continuously improving global accounting processes to ensure compliance, efficiency, and standardization across all regions. This role serves as the strategic leader for General Accounting processes and related financial controls, aligning processes with corporate policies, regulatory requirements, and best practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Own key decisions for the global design, governance, and continuous improvement of end-to-end General Accounting, including account reconciliations, cash application, fixed assets, intercompany, statutory accounting, and global journal entries processes.
  • Lead initiatives for new finance technologies, process automation, and continuous improvement (e.g., SAP, BlackLine, and other developed solutions).
  • Define and implement future-state processes, global templates, and decision frameworks to promote the standardization and harmonization of accounting practices across regions and business units.
  • Liaison for SAP S/4HANA enablement for General Accounting, ensuring alignment with business strategy, finance transformation goals, and enterprise architecture.
  • Partner with senior Finance and IT leaders to align transformation priorities, change management strategies, and process governance.
  • Function as the primary authority for system configuration and data governance, representing business interests throughout the design, testing, and implementation phases.
  • Drive change management, training, and communication plans to support global rollout and sustainment.
  • Establish and monitor KPIs to measure process performance, financial accuracy, and business impact in conjunction with operations partners.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, audit requirements, and regulatory standards (e.g., SOX, IFRS, GAAP).
  • Manage the recruitment, training, and development of finance personnel within the assigned area.
  • Provide financial reporting information, business analysis, and interpretation of trends; present findings and recommendations to senior operations and finance management using diverse tools.
  • Plan, direct, and coordinate business analysis, report preparation, and operating/financial performance measures.
  • Coordinate business processes and procedures to ensure consistency and accuracy of financial data and business information.
  • Coordinate financial reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and annual plan preparation.
  • Maintain performance standards that ensure compliance with internal management reporting requirements and business practices while maintaining a strong internal control environment.
  • Ensure statutory reporting complies with accounting principles and government regulations.
  • Participate in balance sheet management for items such as inventory, accounts receivable, and property.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required (CPA Preferred); professional certification or advanced degree is preferred.
  • Ten (10) years of progressive experience in Support Services, including finance, accounting, and management, typically acquired through an accounting, finance, or business degree.
  • Familiarity with common office environments and key business systems, including SAP, Hyperion, contract management applications, and similar tools.
  • Advanced levels of proficiency in business, industry, and company acumen, as well as cultural awareness, performance management, and leadership skills gained through diverse experience and multiple roles.
  • A working understanding of roles attributed to Support Services supporting field operations, including tax, statutory, and treasury concepts.
