The Cable Technician I under direct supervision, performs basic operations to test and repair downhole cable for submersible pumps and motor equipment.
- Pay Rate: Up to $22.00/hour, depending on experience.
- Assignment Length: 6-month contract with the high possibility of extension or conversion based on performance and other factors.
- Shift Details: Day shift | 40-hour/Week with overtime
Responsibilities:
- Receives cable and carries out basic tests.
- Performs basic repairs and learns how to splice cable.
- Completes paperwork to send cable to inventory or field.
- This is an entry level position where the employee is expected to learn all relevant company HSE policies and procedures and to demonstrate their application into his/her duties.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations involving addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division is required.
- Basic reading comprehension and writing skills are required.
- Ability to operate a Forklift and Skid Steer
- Basic computer skills are preferred.
- Mechanically inclined.
- Ability to use hand tools and verity of testers I.E VLF, multimeters.
