The Strategic Sourcing Team Lead under broad direction, guides team through the strategic sourcing process to determine the optimum solution for internal customer needs based on market capabilities.

  • Salary: $125,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year, depending on experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for leading strategic sourcing initiatives and a small sourcing team to deliver optimal supplier solutions, reduce total cost of ownership, and implement global sourcing strategies for complex projects.
  • This role manages supplier negotiations, RF(x) processes, cost modeling, spend analysis, and sourcing programs exceeding $100M annually while driving value creation for the business.
  • Analyzes, develops and leads the implementation of the global sourcing strategy for designated projects usually lasting for six to nine months.
  • The team lead will be responsible for the reduction of Total Cost of Ownership without compromising business strategy.
  • Spend sourced annually for this role will typically be complex in nature and comprise of 100+ million (US dollars).
  • Manages data analysis, cost modeling, and RF(x) development on spend for designated projects; leads the team through processes to conduct internal needs analysis; determines optimum supplier solutions; selects strategic suppliers and negotiates agreements.
  • Develops and executes implementation plans to ensure the successful implementation of sourcing strategy.
  • Job role contributes directly to value creation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree is required, with SAP knowledge and engineering or technical education preferred.
  • A certification as a Supply Chain Professional is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5-8 years related experience in strategic sourcing, manufacturing, procurement, logistics, field operations and/or project management.
  • Must have strong strategic sourcing experience, technical-commercial aptitude, leadership skills, and the ability to work with technical stakeholders.
  • Microsoft Excel knowledge preferred.
