The Strategic Sourcing Team Lead under broad direction, guides team through the strategic sourcing process to determine the optimum solution for internal customer needs based on market capabilities.
- Salary: $125,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year, depending on experience.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for leading strategic sourcing initiatives and a small sourcing team to deliver optimal supplier solutions, reduce total cost of ownership, and implement global sourcing strategies for complex projects.
- This role manages supplier negotiations, RF(x) processes, cost modeling, spend analysis, and sourcing programs exceeding $100M annually while driving value creation for the business.
- Analyzes, develops and leads the implementation of the global sourcing strategy for designated projects usually lasting for six to nine months.
- The team lead will be responsible for the reduction of Total Cost of Ownership without compromising business strategy.
- Spend sourced annually for this role will typically be complex in nature and comprise of 100+ million (US dollars).
- Manages data analysis, cost modeling, and RF(x) development on spend for designated projects; leads the team through processes to conduct internal needs analysis; determines optimum supplier solutions; selects strategic suppliers and negotiates agreements.
- Develops and executes implementation plans to ensure the successful implementation of sourcing strategy.
- Job role contributes directly to value creation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree is required, with SAP knowledge and engineering or technical education preferred.
- A certification as a Supply Chain Professional is preferred.
- Minimum of 5-8 years related experience in strategic sourcing, manufacturing, procurement, logistics, field operations and/or project management.
- Must have strong strategic sourcing experience, technical-commercial aptitude, leadership skills, and the ability to work with technical stakeholders.
- Microsoft Excel knowledge preferred.
