The OT Security Architect under broad direction, is recognized as a technical expert and a leader in multiple major systems and/or technologies

  • Pay Rate: $122,722 - $229,899
  • Shift Details: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm | Monday-Friday

Responsibilities:

  • Researches and makes recommendations on the direction of Halliburton's IT strategy.
  • Provides technical direction for large projects and/or new technology decisions.
  • Consults with business partners on technology trends which will influence product decisions and future opportunities.
  • Utilizes industry knowledge of business and technology trends to enhance business impact while defining enterprise architecture and technology requirements.
  • Performs the leadership, facilitation, analysis and design tasks required to develop the Enterprise Architecture program (EA) and to ensure that it is leveraged.
  • Assists with governance activities associated with ensuring EA compliance.
  • Oversees asset-centric portfolio management disciplines (for such solution portfolios as application, service-oriented architecture [SOA] service or shared infrastructure).
  • Develops road maps describing the evolution of all enterprise solution portfolios from current state to future state.
  • Collaborates with project teams to enhance and improve the product delivery cycle for new products and services.
  • Responsible for ensuring that the most appropriate technologies are integrated into the organization.
  • Uses a broad and deep understanding of technical concepts in multiple specialized fields to guide development of solutions to problems and critical design issues.
  • Takes a long-term perspective in addressing customer problems.
  • May trade off immediate costs for the sake of the long-term technical goals.
  • Seeks to add value and looks for the long-term benefits for the customer.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s/Master's Degree in a relevant field (e.g., Cybersecurity, Product Manufacturing, Computer Science, etc.); or a comparable level of expertise gained through on the job experience
  • Relevant industry certification
  • Skills typically acquired through the completion of 12+ years of experience in an IT discipline.
  • Position may require availability outside of normal working hours and beyond a normal work week of 40 hours
  • At least 5 years of experience in IT/OT Security with minimum 2 years in OT Security
  • Operational Technology (OT) Security architecture experience and not just the production support experience
  • Have good knowledge of the following:
  1. Network segmentation. Experience in firewall and basic computer network experience
  2. Endpoint security tools like Symantec, CrowdStrike, Microsoft Defender,
  3. Operational Technology monitoring tools like Nazomi Networks, Dragos, Claroty
  4. Secure Remote Access technology. Experience with any remote access tools like Beyond Trust, Zscaler, Xage, etc.
  • Experience in creating OT Security policies
  • Good understanding of IEC 62443 ICS framework
  • Good understanding of SCADA and ICS systems
