Associate Machine Operator (Onsite: Lafayette, LA)

The Associate Machine Operator working under close supervision, sets up, adjusts, and operates a variety of machine tools which may include numerical control/computerized numeric control lathes, mills, drills, computerized numerical control/numerical control and/or manual machines.

• Pay Rate: $22.00/hour, depending on experience.
• Assignment Length: 8-month contract with a high possibility of extension and/or conversion based on performance and other factors.
• Shift Details: Night shift | 4:00 pm - 2:00 am |Monday - Thursday |10-hour shift|Overtime/weekends are available

Responsibilities:

• May be required to read blueprints, perform varying levels of shop mathematics associated with machining operations, and perform inspection procedures to verify work.
• This role will be focused more on a deburr and drill press machine including powered hand tools.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1–2 years of hands-on machining or manufacturing experience.
• Ability to set up and operate production machinery, including deburring equipment.
• Experienced in the safe operation of overhead cranes for moving heavy parts.
• Skilled in using powered hand tools, specifically industrial drills and grinders.
• General mechanical aptitude and the ability to follow safety protocols
