THE PROJECT:

Growthbuilt are delighted to announce they are working with Schools Infrastructure NSW to upgrade Punchbowl Public School as part of the NSW Government’s plan to rebuild essential services as part of the 2023-24 Budget.

The project has commenced and is seeking a Site Engineer to join its well-resourced team while they work through finishes and facade. The overall upgrade will include additional fit for purpose classrooms and core facilities, relocation of the administration unit to enable better security and street presence for the school and upgrade and refurbishment of the early intervention and support classrooms.

THE ROLE:

You will be a joining a team that supports one another, has a laugh and enjoys making a Tik Tok or two for Growthbuilt’s social media page!

Your first month will be all about you understanding the details of the project ensuring the quality and documentation is all there. With 6 months remaining on the project, the work environment will be fast paced and will need you to hit the ground running but have no fear we have all the tools to help you get started and set you up for success!

You will be the main driver in the engineering space with your primary focus being on façade, fit out and services. At Growthbuilt, we take our quality processes very seriously, which means there is a detailed step-by-step process. Don’t worry we will teach you the Growthbuilt Way, and you can have confidence that everything we do meets the right standard. There’s a lot to do, but you will be the kind of person who thrives under pressure.

Here’s what your day to day might look like:

  • Participate in the development, implementation of ITPs
  • Assisting in the establishment, maintenance and monitoring of project quality standards and procedures
  • Identify and speak up when there are issues with the project, drive the development and implementation of solutions.
  • Review subcontractor quality documentation and checklists to ensure compliance
  • Review quality of subcontract works on site and communicate them with the project team
  • Assist with ensuring design is completed to standard and on time to maintain program
  • Manage, monitor and control the flow of technical information between the design disciplines and internal and external stakeholders
  • Review consultant and subcontractor output for compliance with the design brief
  • Reference tender package content for scope of work, product usage and design logic are carried out - where applicable

ABOUT YOU

You will be right for this role if you have:

  • 2-3 years post-graduate experience in an engineering role working within the tier 2 or 3 construction space
  • Ideal experience in façade, finishes and services engineering working on fit out or newbuild projects as a Site Engineer
  • Completed works, at least 1 full project completed as a Site Engineer
  • Willingness to learn and work collaboratively in a team
  • Excellent attention to detail, time management and organisation skills
  • Degree qualifications in Engineering or Construction Management
  • Proficiency in Procore, MS Suite and Aconex
