- Blended TA and P&C role with autonomy to build teams, capability and engagement
- End-to-end ownership, partnering directly with executives and senior leaders
- Shape teams and culture, not just recruitment outcomes
WHAT ROLE ARE YOU STEPPING INTO?
Reporting to the Head of People & Culture, you’ll sit at the intersection of recruitment, strategic workforce planning and people experience.
You’ll be responsible for end-to-end talent acquisition and workforce planning across the business, complemented by selected People & Culture initiatives that support engagement, EVP, capability development and organisational effectiveness.
You’ll be joining a small but growing team in a role that integrates talent acquisition and people partnering in a way traditional models don’t. Rather than running recruitment and handing off relationships once a role is filled, you’ll maintain visibility across the early employee lifecycle and contribute to initiatives that help teams connect, perform and grow together.
WHY DOES THIS ROLE MATTER?
As our People & Talent Business Partner, you’ll be one of the most influential ambassadors of the Growthbuilt employee experience. For many of our people, this role represents their first meaningful interaction with our business, making it critical in shaping how Growthbuilt attracts, engages and grows its future workforce.
You’ll work closely with leaders to anticipate resourcing needs, build talent pipelines and make thoughtful hiring decisions that consider not just capability, but team dynamics, culture and energy.
Beyond the hire, you’ll stay connected with new starters through onboarding and early engagement, helping ensure people land well, feel supported and stay aligned with the business.
WHERE YOU’LL MAKE THE BIGGEST IMPACT
Your focus is simple, but highly impactful: helping Growthbuilt put the right people in the right roles, at the right time, and ensuring those decisions translate into engaged, high-performing teams over the long term.
While your remit will always have a strong focus on talent acquisition, you’ll also play a key role in initiatives that support people to grow their careers with us and perform at their best. This will generally include:
Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning
- Owning end-to-end recruitment across site-based, corporate and leadership roles, using LiveHire (Humanforce Talent) as our primary ATS
- Partnering with leaders to anticipate workforce demand, capacity and sequencing across projects and corporate functions
- Building and maintaining talent pipelines for critical and hard-to-fill roles, aligned to workforce plans, diversity goals and future projects
- Leading direct sourcing strategies and minimising reliance on external agencies through proactive market engagement
- Providing practical, commercial recruitment advice to leaders that balances speed, quality, risk and long-term fit
- Using recruitment data and insights to inform decision-making, identify trends and continuously improve our hiring approach
Onboarding, Early Engagement & Retention
- Owning the onboarding experience and early lifecycle touchpoints for new starters across projects and head office
- Staying connected with new hires beyond day one to support integration, engagement and role clarity
- Partnering with leaders to identify and address early engagement or performance risks before they become issues
- Ensuring hiring decisions translate into productive, connected teams, not just filled roles
People, Culture & Capability Contribution
- Contributing to EVP, engagement and employer brand initiatives that support attraction and retention
- Supporting people initiatives where they intersect with talent outcomes, including onboarding, capability uplift and leadership effectiveness
- Assisting with broader employee experience initiatives across the lifecycle, in collaboration with the Head of People & Culture
- Bringing a strong understanding of team health, engagement and wellbeing to inform workforce and talent decisions
WHAT WILL SET YOU UP FOR SUCCESS?
You’re someone who:
- Loves recruitment as a craft and takes pride in doing it well
- Has strong EQ and can read teams, individuals and dynamics intuitively
- Thinks beyond the hire to long-term engagement and alignment
- Enjoys being close to the business and working with leaders at all levels
- Wants to grow their HR capability without losing their recruitment edge
Don’t tick every box? Don’t let that stop you. If you’re a data-driven people practitioner who thinks beyond filling vacancies and genuinely cares about building great teams, we’d love to hear from you. With the right coaching and support, you’ll be able to make this role your own and achieve great things.
WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU?
- A meaningful, high-impact role shaping Growthbuilt’s talent outcomes
- Hybrid working supported by Core Collaboration Hours
- Loyalty Leave, Switch Off Days and Paid Parental Leave
- Novated leasing, travel subsidies and partner discounts
- Autonomy to work directly with senior leaders and executives
- The opportunity to define and evolve the role over time
- Part-time applicants considered, plus options for extended leave during school holiday periods to help fit work around your family commitments
