ABOUT THE ROLE
As Senior Site Manager, you’ll lead on-site operations for The Works, Corrimal Stage 1, and oversee 6-7 General Foreman and site supervisors across five buildings, coordinating construction delivery, safety, and quality while driving progress against programme milestones. This is a hands-on leadership role that requires strong communication, technical expertise, and a proven ability to manage large, multi-building sites with discipline and composure.
ABOUT THE PROJECT
We are thrilled to partner with Legacy Property on The Works, Corrimal, a multi-stage master plan urban renewal project, that will transform the former Corrimal Coke Works site into a vibrant residential community of more than 800 dwellings.
Stage 1 consists of 179 high-quality residential apartments (1, 2, 3 & 4 bedrooms) delivered across five separate architecturally designed buildings, including two single-level basement car parks, landscaped communal spaces, and upgraded precinct infrastructure.
With CC1 issued, bulk excavation now complete and piling underway across multiple buildings, it’s the ideal time to join our delivery team and lead the on-site execution of this iconic $110m+ Illawarra project.
YOUR DAY-TO-DAY WILL INCLUDE:
- Planning, sequencing and resourcing all site activities to maintain safe and efficient progress
- Developing and managing construction programmes, preparing look-ahead schedules for the project team and leadership
- Overseeing subcontractor coordination and performance across multiple buildings and basements
- Driving compliance through weekly HSE inspections and task observations, ensuring a safety-first culture
- Ensuring accurate daily site records, diaries, QA documents and IMS compliance are maintained
- Collaborating with the Senior Project Manager and Contracts team to resolve technical or program issues proactively
- Building strong relationships with subcontractors and project stakeholders to enable smooth project delivery
This is a rare opportunity for an experienced Senior Site Manager, or a proven Site Manager ready to step up, to lead one of NSW’s most significant residential projects and leave a lasting impact on the Illawarra region.
ABOUT YOU
You are an accomplished site leader with a proven track record delivering large-scale, multi-storey Class 2 residential or mixed-use projects ($50-$100 million+).
You combine a calm, confident leadership style with strong technical and program management skills, able to motivate and coordinate large teams of Site Supervisors and subcontractors across large, complex sites.
YOU’LL BRING:
- 12-15 + years’ construction experience, including 6 + years in supervisory or management roles for Tier 1 or Tier 2 builders
- Proven experience leading multiple buildings or precincts within large Class 2 developments
- Expert skills in programming and forecasting
- Strong understanding of BCA, WHS and Environmental compliance requirements
- Ability to communicate clearly, delegate effectively and drive accountability across site teams
- A hands-on approach to safety, quality and daily documentation to uphold Growthbuilt standards
- Relevant trade background and/or Building Diploma, with First Aid and WHS training certifications preferred
