About the Role
As our Senior HR Services & Systems Advisor, you’ll lead the operational delivery of our HRIS (FlareHR) and play a key role in optimising how we deliver HR support across the business. You’ll be the first port of call for all frontline people queries – with a strong focus on employee relations (ER) – coaching our managers through issues confidently, consistently, and in alignment with both legislation and our values.
This role is perfect for someone who brings a solid ER foundation, isn’t afraid to have the tough conversations, and can translate policy into action with confidence and clarity.
You’ll work across the full employee lifecycle, help evolve our people systems and processes, and build capability across our leadership teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the ER escalation point across the business – providing advice, coaching, and hands-on support for complex matters including performance management, grievances, misconduct, and policy interpretation
- Lead the resolution of ER issues with a pragmatic, risk-aware approach that balances compliance with commercial outcomes
- Coach and empower managers to navigate early intervention, documentation, and appropriate next steps – while lifting capability across the business
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including Legal and Safety, to ensure consistent, best-practice responses to ER matters
- Support cyclical processes such as performance reviews, policy updates, and engagement initiatives – with an ER lens
- Own and optimise our HRIS (FlareHR) – including system improvements, process automation, data integrity, and vendor engagement
- Manage the HR inbox and query triage – ensuring timely and accurate advice, and escalation where required
- Monitor compliance checkpoints – including visa validations, probation reviews, working rights and license audits
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to key People projects
About You
You’re an experienced HR operator who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and brings a calm, confident approach to ER. You’re not just reactive – you’re proactive in identifying trends, educating leaders, and creating frameworks that support better outcomes across the board.
We're looking for someone who can hit the ground running, with:
- Strong and proven experience in employee relations – ideally in a multi-site environment (e.g. retail, hospitality or QSR)
- Confidence in managing a broad range of ER issues end-to-end – including investigations, documentation, and disciplinary processes
- Sound understanding of Fair Work Act, NES and modern awards, and the ability to apply this knowledge practically
- An ability to coach, influence and build trust with leaders at all levels
- Demonstrated HRIS experience – ideally with system ownership, workflows or automation responsibilities
- Solid generalist HR knowledge and practical experience across the employee lifecycle
- Strong process thinking and experience creating clear SOPs or process maps
- A degree in Human Resources or a related discipline
