Landscaping Team Leader - City of Port Phillip

About You

You are an experienced landscaping professional with strong leadership skills and a passion for delivering high-quality outdoor spaces.

You are confident coordinating a range of projects including planting, mulching, playground renovations and general landscape improvements. You enjoy working outdoors, are physically fit and are committed to maintaining safe work practices in all weather conditions.

You hold a valid driver's licence, White Card, National Police Check, Working with Children Check and a Certificate III in Landscape Construction, Horticulture or a related qualification.

About the Role

You will lead a variety of landscape improvement projects across the City of Port Phillip municipality. This role focuses primarily on soft landscaping rather than large-scale landscape construction and includes projects such as planting, mulching, playground renovations, garden rejuvenation and general landscape enhancements.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading and supervising a small landscaping team to deliver projects safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
• Coordinating daily work activities and ensuring projects are completed on time.
• Delivering soft landscaping works including planting, mulching, turf establishment and garden improvements.
• Undertaking playground renovations, including the installation and replacement of soft-fall mulch and associated landscape works.
• Operating and maintaining landscaping tools, machinery and equipment safely.
• Monitoring site safety, quality and environmental standards.
• Providing guidance, training and support to team members while fostering a positive team culture.
