We are seeking motivated Natural Areas Team Members to join our team in Ipswich. In this hands-on role, you will work alongside a dedicated team to maintain, restore, and enhance natural areas, helping to preserve local ecosystems and green spaces for the community.

This opportunity is ideal for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys physical outdoor work, and has a passion for environmental stewardship.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the maintenance and enhancement of natural areas, reserves, and open spaces.
  • Identify native plant species and weeds to support vegetation management activities.
  • Safely operate a range of gardening, landscaping, and vegetation management equipment.
  • Conduct routine equipment inspections and basic maintenance checks.
  • Complete assigned tasks and service requests to a high standard.
  • Maintain clean, safe, and environmentally responsible work practices.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to deliver quality outcomes across multiple sites.
  • Adhere to all workplace health, safety, and environmental procedures.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Previous experience in bush regeneration, natural area maintenance, landscaping, environmental services, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of native plant and weed identification.
  • Current Manual Driver's Licence.
  • Current White Card.
  • ACDC qualification (desirable).
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Reliability, punctuality, and a positive attitude.
  • Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • A strong commitment to safety and environmental best practice.
