About the Role
As a Mower and Brush cutter Team Leader, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing green spaces across our various council-controlled roadsides in Ipswich
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, has a keen eye for detail, and takes pride in their work.
Hourly rates are above award and dependent on experience.
- Operate various mowing equipment safely and efficiently.
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on equipment.
- Ensure lawns and green spaces are mowed to a high standard.
- Assist with other grounds keeping tasks as needed.
- Adhere to safety protocols and procedures.
- Lead and direct a team of maintenance staff, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently.
- Follow schedules and prioritise tasks to ensure timely completion
- Provide guidance, mentorship, and training to the team to enhance their horticultural skills and safety practices.

About You
- Minimum 3 years experience in roadside brushcutting & mowing
- Valid Drivers Licence
- White Card
- ACDC licence highly regarded
- MR/HR licence highly regarded
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and the sun
- Strong work ethic and commitment to completing tasks efficiently and to the highest standards
