Mowing and Brushcutting Team Leader

About the Role

As a Mower and Brush cutter Team Leader, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing green spaces across our various council-controlled roadsides in Ipswich

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, has a keen eye for detail, and takes pride in their work.

Hourly rates are above award and dependent on experience.

• Operate various mowing equipment safely and efficiently.
• Perform routine maintenance and inspections on equipment.
• Ensure lawns and green spaces are mowed to a high standard.
• Assist with other grounds keeping tasks as needed.
• Adhere to safety protocols and procedures.
• Lead and direct a team of maintenance staff, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently.
• Follow schedules and prioritise tasks to ensure timely completion
• Provide guidance, mentorship, and training to the team to enhance their horticultural skills and safety practices.

About You

• Minimum 3 years experience in roadside brushcutting & mowing
• Valid Drivers Licence
• White Card
• ACDC licence highly regarded
• MR/HR licence highly regarded
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team
• Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and the sun
• Strong work ethic and commitment to completing tasks efficiently and to the highest standards
