🌿 Team Leader – Salisbury

We're looking for a hands-on Team Leader to join our Salisbury team. This is a varied role focused primarily on commercial landscape maintenance, working across a diverse portfolio of sites including schools, churches and other commercial properties.

With a strong focus on both gardening and turf maintenance, this is a great opportunity for an experienced Gardener or Grounds Maintenance professional looking to take the next step into a Team Leader role.

🌱 What's Involved

You'll be hands-on with your team, helping deliver high-quality maintenance services across a range of commercial sites. You'll take pride in ensuring every site is well presented, maintained to a high standard and delivered safely and efficiently.

• Lead and support a small team of gardening and grounds maintenance professionals
• Work hands-on across a 50/50 mix of gardening and turf maintenance
• Maintain a diverse portfolio of commercial sites, including schools, churches and other properties
• Complete regular mowing, edging and turf maintenance
• Carry out hedging, pruning, weeding and general garden maintenance
• Maintain lawns, garden beds and outdoor areas to a consistently high standard
• Operate mowers, whipper snippers, hedgers, blowers and other outdoor equipment
• Monitor the presentation and condition of gardens and turf areas
• Identify and report pest, disease and turf issues
• Plan and prioritise daily workloads to ensure work is completed efficiently
• Support and mentor team members, leading by example
• Ensure tools, machinery and equipment are used safely and maintained appropriately
• Communicate progress, site issues and requirements to your manager
• Build positive relationships and maintain a professional approach across client sites
• Maintain a strong safety-first culture across the team

🌿 What You'll Bring

We're looking for someone with solid practical gardening and turf maintenance experience who is ready to step into a Team Leader I position. You'll be hands-on, reliable and confident working across a variety of commercial sites.

• Previous experience in gardening, horticulture, turf or commercial grounds maintenance
• Experience leading, supervising or supporting a small team is highly regarded
• Strong practical skills across both gardening and turf maintenance
• Confident with mowing, hedging, pruning, whipper snipping and general garden maintenance
• Experience operating ride-on and push mowers and other outdoor equipment
• Good attention to detail and pride in presentation
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to organise daily tasks and prioritise workloads
• Reliable, punctual and willing to be hands-on
• Professional approach when working across client sites
• Current driver's licence is essential
• White Card
• Working with Children Check (WWCC), or willingness to obtain
