Horticulturist

Permanent full-time position, 38 hours per week, North Sydney location

Responsibilities 

• Assist with leading a team of maintenance staff, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently.
• Follow schedules and prioritise tasks to ensure timely completion of horticulture and fine turf maintenance requirements for the site
• Provide guidance, mentorship, and training to the team to enhance their horticultural skills and safety practices.
• Regularly inspect garden areas to assess their condition, identify improvements needed, and implement corrective actions.

About You 

This is an incredible opportunity if you have just finished your trade certificate and are looking for the next stepping stone in your career. You can take a step up and work on some high-profile gardens and turf at one of Green by Nature's award-winning sites.

You have a Certificate III in Horticulture or Parks & Gardens and excellent working knowledge of all of the tools and equipment used at our site, such as hedgers, whipper snippers, push and ride on mowers and cylinder.

You have a current drivers licence and are willing to obtain a Working with Children Check and White Card if you don't already have them. If you have a working at heights ticket this would be highly regarded.

Most importantly you are a team player with proven ability to communicate with people from all walks of life.
