Mowing Team Leader

About the Role

As a Mowing Team Leader, you will oversee and manage our mowing operations. You will lead a dedicated team of Mower Operators to ensure the maintenance and enhancement of green spaces across multiple commercial and council-controlled open space sites.

This role requires a hands-on leader with a strong commitment to quality and safety, capable of working alongside their team to maintain and enhance green spaces.

• Actively participate in mowing and groundskeeping tasks alongside your team.
• Supervise and coordinate a team of Mower Operators, ensuring efficient and effective operations.
• Inspect sites regularly to ensure high standards of lawn maintenance and address any issues promptly.
• Enforce safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
• Ensure all mowing equipment is well-maintained and operational, arranging for repairs as needed.

About You

You have previous experience in a mowing, gardening or landscaping role with recent exposure to the use of push mowers, whipper snippers, blowers and a variety of ride on equipment and can operate all equipment safely.

You are prepared to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain and sun and have the ability to safely lift and carry heavy objects and be on your feet for extended periods.

You pride yourself on being a great leader who can motivate a diverse team of people to achieve results that far exceed the expectations of your clients. You have proven yourself to be able to communicate effectively with those that you work with.

You have a valid drivers licence and hold, or are willing to obtain, a white card and working with children check.

Your strong work ethic coupled with your commitment to completing tasks efficiently and to the highest standards will see you succeed in this role.
