Horticulturist

This full-time position is based on site at Oaks Pacific Blue resort in Salamander Bay and will also assist one day per week in other locations around the Port Stephens/Newcastle areas.

Responsibilities 

• Perform regular horticultural maintenance including mowing, edging, pruning, weeding, mulching, and fertilising
• Maintain ornamental gardens, hedges, lawns, and feature planting areas to premium presentation standard
• Operate and maintain horticultural tools, machinery, and irrigation systems safely and effectively
• Assist in seasonal planting, lawn renovation, and landscape improvement projects
• Identify and treat plant pests, diseases, and nutrient deficiencies
• Work collaboratively with grounds and facilities staff to support resort and operational needs

About You 

This is an amazing opportunity if you are looking for the next stepping stone in your career or want to work at one of Green by Nature's prominent sites.

You have a Certificate III in Horticulture or Parks & Gardens and excellent working knowledge of all of the tools and equipment used in the field, such as hedgers, whipper snippers, blowers, hand tools and some petrol operated equipment.

You are willing to obtain a White Card and Working with Children's check if you don't already have them.

You pride yourself on your well-honed communication skills.

Most importantly you have proven ability to effectively prioritise workflows, impart knowledge to others and be a mature and reliable team player.
