Irrigation Technician

About the Role

Green by Nature is seeking a dedicated Landscape Professional to join our dedicated Irrigation team. If you thrive on variety, have a keen eye for detail, and are passionate about sustainable outdoor environments – this could be the role for you!

Reporting to the Irrigation Manager, you will be responsible for leading a small team to complete the installation of new irrigation systems and the maintenance and repair of existing irrigation systems in a variety of situations including but not limited to; professional sports fields, golf courses, residential estates, holiday resorts. 

This role will include a maintained company vehicle, toll pass and company to facilitate working across various sites in Sydney and wider NSW as required.

About You

With proven hands on experience installing, servicing and repairing irrigation systems, you are proud of the expertise and technical knowledge that you can bring to this role.

You excel at managing multiple projects and the competing priorities that a role working across multiple sites brings. Your ability to read, interpret and execute irrigation plans has been well-honed throughout your career in the landscape industry.

You pride yourself on being a collaborative professional with a hands-on approach and strong problem-solving ability. You are IT literate and are comfortable communicating with a wide range of people ranging from but not limit to; Direct manager, clients, sub-contractors & junior staff.

Qualification in Irrigation, Turf Management or Horticulture is preferred but not essential.

It is essential that you hold a current driver’s licence and construction white card and are willing to obtain a Working with children check if not currently held.

Responsibilities 

Include but not limited to:

·       Installation of new commercial irrigation systems

·       Review & interpret irrigation plans and execute installations

·       Conduct routine system audits, diagnose faults and implement irrigation programs adjustments

·       Complete routine maintenance and repair/upgrades of existing irrigation systems

·       Maintain accurate records and provide completion reports

·       Ensure systems are event-ready through pre- and post-irrigation audits

·       Work collaboratively within a professional and highly skilled team

·       Ensure all works are delivered in line with industry best practices, WHS regulations, and company quality systems.
