As a Garden Maintenance Team Member, your role involves maintaining and enhancing gardens and outdoor spaces. Strong communication skills and the ability to follow directions from your Team Leader are crucial. This hands-on position is perfect for those passionate about gardening and landscaping, with a dedication to outdoor work.

This role is part of a mobile run working at various sites across Sydney.

Responsibilities

The scope of work includes, but is not limited to:

  • Planting, weeding, pruning, and watering.
  • Mowing and whipper snipping lawns, trimming edges, and caring for turf areas.
  • Preparing soil, mulching and planting beds.
  • Operating and maintaining gardening tools and equipment.
  • Adhering to safety protocols for a safe work environment.

You will undertake works using a variety of equipment such as push mower, whipper snipper, hedger, pole pruner, small plant machinery and basic hand tools.

About You

You have proven yourself to have a strong work ethic and commitment to completing tasks efficiently and to the highest standards.

You have a passion for delivering quality work and are a team player who values the experiences, knowledge and input of your colleagues as you work towards a common goal.

You have a valid drivers licence and a white card (or willingness to obtain).

You have at least two years recent hands on experience in landscaping, gardening or a related field and have a flexible approach to how you work - client requirements are always top of mind in all that you do.

You are prepared to work outdoors in various weather conditions including heat, rain and sun and have the ability to safely lift heavy object when required and stand/kneel/squat/bend for extended periods.

If you hold a Certificate III in Horticulture or Parks & Gardens this will be highly regarded.

You are an excellent communicator and are willing to provide input and impart your knowledge where appropriate.
