About the Role
As a Garden Maintenance Team Member, you will be maintaining and enhancing gardens and outdoor spaces on site at the campus of St Ignatius in Riverview.
We’re looking for a collaborative team player with strong communication skills. This hands-on role is ideal for a gardener or landscaper who’s passionate about their craft and enjoys the variety of doing something different every day!
Responsibilities
- Use of a variety of equipment such as push mower, whipper snipper, hedger, pole pruner, small plant machinery and basic hand tools
- Planting, weeding, pruning, and watering
- Mowing and whipper snipping lawns, trimming edges, and caring for turf areas
- Preparing soil, mulching and planting beds
- Operating and maintaining gardening tools and equipment
- Adhering to safety protocols for a safe work environment

About You
You have proven yourself to have a strong work ethic and commitment to completing tasks efficiently and to the highest standards.
- Certificate III in Horticulture or Parks & Gardens will be highly regarded, but is not essential
- 2+ years' recent hands-on experience in a similar role
- Valid driver's licence and a white card (or willingness to obtain)
- An eye for detail and a passion for delivering high quality work and exceeding client expectations
- A team player who values the experiences, knowledge and input of your colleagues
- Physically fit and able safely lift heavy objects when required and stand/kneel/squat/bend for extended periods
- Excellent communication skills and willingness to provide input and impart your knowledge to others
- You must be willing to obtain a Working with Children check and a National Police check
