Sports Turf Site Manager

About the Role

Green by Nature is seeking an experienced Sports Turf Site Manager to lead the maintenance and presentation of a large sporting precinct within a leading tertiary education environment in Western Sydney.

This is a unique opportunity to take ownership of a diverse portfolio of natural turf sports fields that support student wellbeing, competitive sport, recreation and campus life. You'll be responsible for delivering exceptional playing surfaces year-round while leading maintenance programs, managing client relationships and driving site performance.

Supported by Green by Nature's industry-leading resources and technical expertise, you'll have the autonomy to shape turf quality, plan seasonal renovations and ensure the site consistently exceeds expectations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day maintenance and presentation of natural turf sports fields and surrounding open spaces.
• Develop and deliver annual maintenance, renovation and recovery programs.
• Plan and oversee mowing, aeration, fertilising, irrigation, topdressing and turf health initiatives.
• Monitor turf performance and proactively manage weeds, pests, diseases and wear through best-practice turf management techniques.
• Manage irrigation systems and implement sustainable water management strategies.
• Coordinate equipment, resources and maintenance schedules to achieve high-quality outcomes.
• Build strong relationships with client stakeholders through regular communication and proactive site management.
• Lead and support onsite team members while fostering a positive, high-performing, safety-focused culture.
• Ensure all works are completed safely and in line with company and industry standards.

About You

You're an experienced Sports Turf professional who takes pride in delivering exceptional playing surfaces and building strong client relationships.

To be successful in this role, you'll bring:

• Certificate III in Sports Turf Management or equivalent.
• Proven experience in sports turf maintenance, with leadership or supervisory experience highly regarded.
• Strong knowledge of turf species, irrigation systems, fertiliser programs, renovation works and turf health management.
• Experience operating and maintaining sports turf equipment and machinery.
• Sound understanding of chemical application and best-practice turf management techniques.
• Strong planning, organisational and stakeholder management skills.
• A proactive approach, keen attention to detail and commitment to high standards.
• Current Driver Licence.
• White Card.
• Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain).
