We're seeking an enthusiastic Apprentice Parks & Gardens team member to join our Canberra team. As part of your apprenticeship, you'll gain hands-on experience maintaining and enhancing some of the region's most impressive landscapes, including the beautiful grounds of the University of Canberra.

Through a combination of paid on-the-job learning and formal study, you'll complete a nationally recognised horticulture qualification while building the skills needed for a long-term career in the industry.

What You'll Learn

Throughout your apprenticeship you'll develop practical skills in:

• Garden and landscape maintenance
• Turf and plant care
• Irrigation systems
• Plant identification and establishment
• Weed, pest and disease management
• Machinery and equipment operation
• Soil improvement and plant nutrition
• Workplace health and safety practices

About You

You don't need previous horticulture experience. We're looking for someone who:

• Enjoys working outdoors and being active
• Has a positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Is eager to learn new skills
• Works well as part of a team
• Is reliable and committed to completing an apprenticeship
• Holds, or is willing to obtain, a White Card and Working With Vulnerable People check
• Has a driver's licence (desirable but not essential)
