Gardening Team Member - Frankston Council

• Permanent Full-time position (Monday - Friday)
• Work based around Frankston
• Full PPE and uniform provided

About the Role

We are looking for a gardener to assist with various Council tasks related to garden maintenance. This hands-on role based in the Frankston & surrounding areas, is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, has a keen eye for detail and takes pride in their work.

• Carry out general maintenance duties including mowing, edging, pruning, weeding, mulching, and fertilising
• Maintain lawns, gardens, hedges, and landscape areas to a high presentation standard
• Operate and maintain gardening equipment and machinery safely and effectively
• Assist with planting, turf care, and general landscape improvement tasks
• Identify and report plant pests, diseases, and maintenance issues
• Work collaboratively with team members to complete daily tasks efficiently

 About You

• Experience in Horticulture, lawn care and maintenance. Qualifications preferred.
• Must have a valid Manual driver's licence
• Current White Card
• A National Police Check & Working with Children Check (or willing to obtain)
• Knowledge or herbicide applications and techniques
• Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and the sun
• Strong work ethic and commitment to completing tasks efficiently and to the highest standards
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team
• Ride on Mower experience of Council Controlled sites will be highly regarded
