Building Maintenance Team Member

Key Responsibilities Of The Position:

Maintenance

• Refer to the school's work requests register on a daily basis and ensure scheduled and requested tasks are completed efficiently
• Identify and act on any maintenance or grounds issues
• Ensure maintenance compound is kept in a tidy condition
• Undertake minor maintenance tasks including:
• Changing batteries on doors
• Removing cobwebs from buildings
• Cleaning College signage
• Maintaining storm water pits and gutters
• Perform deliveries on and off site, collecting supplies and fuels for machinery

Grounds and Gardens

• Empty, wash and reposition rubbish bins
• Maintain gardens when required, including:
• Weeding
• Trimming tree branches
• Spreading mulch and soft fall as directed by the site manager
• Plant trees and shrubs as directed
• Perform mowing, blowing and line trimming
• Assist other gardening team members as required

Building and Set Up

• Perform various tasks on and occasionally off campus
• Complete assignments as directed by the Property Manager and Property Operations Assistant
• Set up for College events such as:
• Exams
• Exhibitions
• Parent and family day events
• Community stalls
• Relocate furniture around campus as required

Child Safety

• Maintain a valid Working With Children Clearance check
