- Learn sport turf hands-on with expert mentorship
- Early starts, early finishes—great balance & team culture

This role is for you if…
You care about precision, take pride in detailed workmanship, and love being outdoors where your effort shows. If you’ve ever wondered what it takes to keep premium sports fields lush, playable and healthy—this is where you start.
At Green by Nature, you’ll learn Sports Turf Management from the ground up—supported by experienced teams in the iconic sporting heartland of Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs. Every day you’ll build skills that local clubs, councils and elite venues value.
You don’t need to know it all yet—what matters most is your attitude, curiosity and the drive to grow.
What you’ll be doing
This is hands-on, practical work with plenty of variety and learning opportunities:
- Learning all aspects of turf care including mowing, irrigation and turf health
- Assisting with preparation and maintenance of sports fields for play
- Operating and learning to care for turf-care machinery safely
- Monitoring and improving turf health through soil care and pest management basics
- Working alongside a team who will mentor and develop your trade skillset
- Taking pride in turf surfaces that players and communities rely on
You’ll start under close guidance and build confidence and ownership as your skills grow.
What you bring
We want you to succeed—and that starts with the right attitude, not years of experience.
You’ll need:
- A genuine interest in outdoor work, gardening, or sports turf
- A can-do mindset and willingness to learn
- Being comfortable working outdoors in a range of weather
- A current driver’s licence or a clear plan to obtain one
That’s it.
We encourage women, mature-age applicants, university leavers, and career changers to apply. If you’re unsure you “fit” exactly—you probably do.
