🌿 Groundsperson – Gardening & Grounds Maintenance

About the Role

Green by Nature is looking for a passionate and reliable Groundsperson to help maintain beautiful gardens and outdoor spaces to an exceptional standard.

This full-time position offers 38 hours per week, competitive remuneration and superannuation. You'll be part of a dedicated team responsible for maintaining gardens, lawns and surrounding grounds, with a strong focus on presentation, plant health and attention to detail.

🌱 What You'll Be Doing

• Carrying out high-quality garden and grounds maintenance across the site
• Pruning, hedging and shaping plants, shrubs and garden beds
• Weeding, mulching and maintaining garden beds to a high standard
• Planting and caring for a variety of plants, trees and shrubs
• Mowing and maintaining lawns and turf areas
• Operating push and ride-on mowers, brush cutters, hedgers and other gardening equipment
• Applying fertilisers and carrying out general plant nutrition as required
• Identifying plant health issues, weeds, pests and areas requiring additional care
• Maintaining garden edges, pathways and surrounding outdoor areas
• Ensuring gardens and grounds are consistently presented to a high standard
• Completing routine equipment checks and maintaining tools and equipment
• Following safe work practices and Green by Nature's quality standards

✅ About You

• Previous experience in gardening, grounds maintenance, landscaping or horticulture
• Strong knowledge of general garden maintenance and plant care
• Confident with pruning, hedging, weeding, mulching and planting
• Experience operating push and ride-on mowers, brush cutters and gardening equipment
• Strong attention to detail and pride in garden presentation
• Good understanding of plant health, nutrition and general horticultural practices
• Reliable, hardworking and able to work both independently and as part of a team
• Good communication skills and a positive attitude
• White Card
• Working with Children Check or willingness to obtain
• Valid driver's licence, with Manual preferred
• ACDC licence highly regarded but not essential
