🌿 Groundsperson – Gardening & Grounds Maintenance

About the Role

Green by Nature is looking for a reliable and hands-on Groundsperson to join our team in Brendale. This is a full-time, Monday to Friday opportunity for someone who enjoys gardening, working outdoors and taking pride in beautifully maintained green spaces.

Working as part of a supportive team, you'll play an important role in maintaining gardens and outdoor areas to a consistently high standard. From pruning and hedging through to planting, weeding, mulching and general garden care, you'll have the opportunity to build your horticultural skills while working alongside experienced team members.

🌱 What You'll Be Doing

• Carrying out general garden maintenance and horticultural tasks
• Pruning, hedging and shaping plants, shrubs and garden beds
• Weeding, mulching and maintaining garden beds to a high standard
• Planting and caring for plants, trees and shrubs
• Mowing and maintaining lawns and turf areas
• Operating hand tools including hedgers, blowers and brush cutters
• Operating push and ride-on mowers and other outdoor equipment
• Assisting with fertilising, plant care and general garden maintenance
• Maintaining garden edges, pathways and surrounding outdoor areas
• Keeping gardens and grounds clean, tidy and well presented
• Loading and unloading plants, materials, tools and equipment as required
• Following safe work practices and maintaining equipment in good condition

✅ About You

We're looking for someone who enjoys getting their hands dirty, takes pride in their work and is keen to develop their gardening and horticultural skills.

• Previous experience in gardening, landscaping, grounds maintenance or horticulture is highly regarded
• A genuine interest in gardening and working with plants
• Experience with pruning, hedging, weeding, planting or mulching is desirable
• Confident using basic gardening tools and equipment
• Willingness to learn how to operate mowers and other outdoor equipment
• Strong attention to detail and pride in presentation
• Reliable, punctual and hardworking
• Able to follow instructions and work well as part of a team
• Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Current driver's licence
• White Card or willingness to obtain
• Working with Children Check or willingness to obtain
