Horticulturist

Role is based at Breakfast Point

Full time 38 hours per week.

This full-time position at a high-end site that blends residential and commercial spaces into a seamless community. Responsibilities 

• Assist with leading a team of maintenance staff, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently.
• Follow schedules and prioritise tasks to ensure timely completion of horticulture requirements for the site
• Provide guidance, mentorship, and training to the team to enhance their horticultural skills and safety practices.
• Undertake hands on work including pruning and shaping of shrubs and hedges and plant and pest identification.
• Regularly inspect garden areas to assess their condition, identify improvements needed, and implement corrective actions.

About You 

This is an amazing opportunity if you are looking for the next stepping stone in your career. You can take a step up and work on some high-profile green spaces at one of Green by Nature's prominent sites.

You have a Certificate III in Horticulture or Parks & Gardens and excellent working knowledge of all of the tools and equipment used at our site, such as hedgers, whipper snippers, blowers, hand tools and some petrol operated equipment.

You have a current driver's licence and are willing to obtain a White Card if you don't already have one.

You pride yourself on your well-honed communication skills - a big part of this role is liaising with the site manager.

Most importantly you have proven ability to effectively prioritise workflows, impart knowledge to others and be a mature and reliable team player.
