One of our businesses - Age Up is hiring for Personal Care Workers in Ringwood and surrounding areas.

About the role:

Providing a person-centered approach through companionship, domestic essentials and personal support in the homes of our clients is key.

We seek people who are happy to be flexible and wear different hats as required - some days providing personal care, other days helping in the garden or kitchen, and driving our clients to social events or appointments.

You will work with a small group of clients in order to build meaningful relationships and make an impact in their lives.

Skills and experience

The ideal candidate would be someone who can be proactive in supporting an individual with unique needs and preferences in their daily living activities. They would also need to commit to work arrangements required to attend to the physical, psychological, and social support needs of our clients. 

You will be first and foremost a compassionate, friendly and a patient person. You will genuinely have the drive to make a positive impact in people's lives.

You will have demonstrated experience in a similar role including but not limited to aged care, disability support, nursing and allied health.

You will be comfortable working with clients in a personal care role including duties such as showering and assisting with dressing, and you will perform these duties while maintaining the absolute respect and dignity of the client.

Home Support Workers are required to have:

  • National Police Check (Less than 6months old).
  • Vic Driver’s License.
  • Comprehensively insured, registered, and well-maintained car.
  • Certificate III in Individual Support or a similar discipline (Aged Care, Disability, Home and Community Care, Personal Assistance).
  • Current First Aid and CPR qualifications.
  • At least 12 months of experience in a similar role.
