As the Senior Events Co-Ordinator, you’ll be part of a passionate, high-performing team where your ideas and contributions are valued. With continued growth across our resorts, there’s never been a more exciting time to join us and make your mark.
GemLife is seeking a highly organised, enthusiastic, and proactive Senior Events Co-Ordinator to join our fast-paced and growing Events & Lifestyle team. This role is instrumental in delivering a wide range of vibrant, high-quality events — from resident lifestyle experiences and sales showcases to internal team functions.
Working closely with and directly reporting to the Events & Lifestyle Manager, you’ll act as the 2IC, playing a critical support role while also independently managing event delivery. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and is ready to take ownership of key event projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as 2IC to the Events & Lifestyle Manager, providing leadership and stepping in to manage events independently when required
- Oversee the coordination and seamless execution of diverse events, including community lifestyle experiences, sales events, and corporate functions
- Lead events autonomously when multiple events are scheduled concurrently across locations
- Assist in, and at times, fully managing an event lifecycle: planning, budgeting, supplier coordination, logistics, on-site execution, and post-event reporting
- Collaborate with internal departments, resort teams, and external partners to ensure events run smoothly and to a high standard
- Support the development and execution of creative, memorable event concepts that align with the GemLife brand and audience expectations
- Maintain accurate event documentation, including run sheets, checklists, schedules, and budget tracking
- Conduct or support risk assessments to ensure all events meet safety, compliance, and accessibility requirements
- Manage guest registrations and communications, coordinate sign-ins on event day, and deliver a welcoming, seamless experience to all attendees
- Be a brand ambassador at all events, representing GemLife with professionalism, courtesy, and a warm, community-first approach
What You’ll Bring
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in event coordination or event management, preferably in lifestyle, hospitality, or property sectors
- Proven ability to juggle multiple events and priorities with composure, flexibility, and attention to detail
- Strong leadership and problem-solving skills with the confidence to take initiative and make decisions under pressure
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, both written and verbal
- A guest-first mindset with a passion for creating positive, memorable experiences
- Flexibility to work additional hours, including some evenings and weekends, as required by event schedules
- A team-focused, hands-on work ethic, and a respectful, kind, and professional attitude toward guests, residents, and colleagues
- RSA Certification is preferred but not essential
Additional Requirements
- This is a fast-paced and highly interactive role, requiring the ability to adapt quickly and manage changing priorities
- Travel between GemLife resort locations and external venues will be required in this position, including occasional flights, and road trips
What we offer
- Being a crucial part of a team that values your feedback, contributions, and supports your growth and development
- Competitive salary, permanent full-time work, and flexible start/finish times
- A company experiencing massive growth and opportunities for the team
- Flare Retail discounts, Fitness Passport subsidised, and corporate uniform allowance
