Head of Residential Construction

We are seeking an experienced Head of Residential Construction to lead and oversee large-scale volume residential building operations. This senior leadership role is responsible for driving operational excellence across multiple projects, ensuring homes are delivered safely, on time, on budget, and to the highest quality standards. Reporting to the CEO, you will lead high-performing construction teams, and optimise systems and processes to support sustained growth in a fast-paced volume building environment.

 QA Build is the powerhouse behind the construction of GemLife communities. With a commitment to excellence and efficiency, QA Build is shaping the future of luxury living and vibrant communities for the over-50's. Our expert teams deliver quality-built villas for our resort developments, achieving impressive build times of just 16 weeks. 

Since listing on the ASX in July 2025, GemLife is in a period of rapid expansion. We currently have nine sites under construction with another eight sites to commence in early 2026. We are seeking a residential construction leader with extensive experience in volume residential building, who will lead end to end residential construction operations across multiple sites and regions from Victoria to North Queensland.

To be successful you must:

• Significant leadership experience in volume residential construction
• Strong track record managing large teams and multiple concurrent projects
• Deep understanding of construction programming, cost management and subcontractor delivery
• Exceptional people leadership and stakeholder management skills
• Commercial acumen with the ability to drive margin and productivity improvements
• Thorough knowledge of Australian building codes, WHS and compliance requirements
• Relevant construction qualifications (trade background, building, construction management or similar)
