Civil Project Supervisor - Ballina

GemLife is growing and we're excited to be expanding into Ballina NSW and are now looking for a Civil Project Supervisor to be on the ground overseeing the daily civil works so they're delivered safely, on time and to the highest standard.

Reporting to our Area Civil Manager, you will be on the site to ensure all earthworks and environmental controls are implemented, documents are approved to ensure the projects stays on track for completion times. If you're a confident leader to supervise the subcontractors and GemLife staff ensuring consistency and high-quality work on site, we want to hear from you!

What you'll be doing:

• Coordinate and supervise construction crews to ensure work is completed efficiently and to the approved sequence and DA conditions.
• Maintain and monitor environmental controls.
• Prepare and maintain documentation, checklist, and compliance registers.
• Liaise with council and certifiers for inspections, approvals, and clarification.
• Run daily pre-starts, toolbox talks and coordinate task allocations.
• Implement GemLife HSEQ standards onsite.
• Conduct regular site inspections and provide daily updates to senior civil team.
• Keeping project records audit-ready at all times.

To be successful you must:

• Have a strong background in bulk earthworks and civil construction.
• Proven ability to manage subcontractors and site staff proficiently.
• Be able to work independently and drive progress and communication skills to integrate seamlessly into the broader project team.
• Have a strong understanding of Health & Safety requirements and on-site implementation.
• The ability to monitor and manage environmental compliance, including both the practical best practice on-site and the associated reporting/paperwork.
• Previous roles where leadership has been demonstrated.
