What we are Looking For!
We are looking for Resort Managers for our Flagship resort on the Gold Coast in Pimpama. An energetic Landscape/Caretaker and an Administrator to join the GemLife resort operations team. These are hands-on roles and traditionally, GemLife have always advertised this role as a shared role for couples however, we are open to recruiting individuals for the roles as well!
The Landscape/Caretaker - supporting and leading a team of gardeners in the maintenance of our gardens, grounds and facilities that add value, style and ambience to our resorts, ensuring that they remain in tip top condition at all times!
- Supervising the maintenance of the existing gardens across the Pimpama GemLife resort and identifying areas that require refurbishing.
- Supervising plus basic maintenance of the facilities (pool, country club, pickle ball courts etc) across the resort and identifying areas that require refurbishing, cleaning or refreshing.
- The management of quality control ensuring that all areas within the GemLife grounds are maintained within assigned timeframes and to a high standard.
- Working with and leading the landscaping team
- Managing day-to-day workflow of the landscaping team.
- Fit and strong and able to be on the tools with the gardening team! This is not a desk job...
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in all aspects of hard and soft landscape construction
- Ready for the next step where you will be leading a team
- Excellent time management, organisation and communication skills
- Basic maintenance skills
- Pool maintenance experience.
- Strong planning and problem-solving skills
- Nursery experience (preferable)
- Knowledge of irrigation, pest and disease (an advantage)
- Qualifications in landscaping or horticulture (preferable)
The Administrator will be the GemLife representative and will deliver superb customer service to our residents plus manage all the administrative functions to ensure the smooth running of the resort. You are a person who thrives on attention to detail and is skilled in Excel, Word and Outlook. This role serves as the vital link between this luxury over 50's resort with the Operational team at GemLife head office, ensuring that all the information required is communicated through different programmes, this is where accuracy is of the utmost importance.
- Running the daily operations of the resort in accordance with company policies & procedures, cleanliness & safety
- Ensuring that all common areas are of the highest standard
- Communicating effectively with residents living in the resort and working through challenges presented in a professional and understanding manner
- Managing the front office and performing the required administration tasks
To be successful you will:
- Possess administration experience in a similar role
- Be proficient with Word, Excel and Outlook
- Hold a current Drivers licence.
- Love what you do & be interested in a long-term career with our company
- Demonstrate previous experience in administration.
